What exactly do I get?
A dedicated, private United States (+1) local phone number in the area code you choose, that receives SMS and MMS. Messages appear in your online inbox in real time. You can add more US numbers any time for $3.99/month each.
How does the free trial work?
Your first number is free for 3 days, then $0.99. We ask for a card and place a temporary $3.99 authorization on it; an authorization is not a charge, it simply confirms the card is real, and it is released when the trial ends. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
How much does it cost?
3 days free, then $0.99. After that, each number is $3.99 per month on a 12-month plan. The complete plan terms are one tap away from the price everywhere on the site and are shown again before you start.
Is the number shared with other people?
No. Unlike free public SMS sites, every number is private and dedicated to you for as long as your plan is active. Nobody else sees your codes.
Can I send texts or make calls?
No. This is a receive-only service. Numbers cannot send SMS or place or receive calls. That is what keeps the price low and the inbox simple.
Which services work?
Numbers are real US local numbers, so most services that send SMS verification codes work: WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, Google, PayPal, Uber and thousands more. A small number of services block all virtual carriers; if a code never arrives, try a different app or contact us.
Can I pick my area code? Are these US numbers?
Yes and yes. Every number is a United States (+1) local number; we never sell toll-free (800/888) or international numbers. Choose any US area code when you start your trial or add a number and we show you the exact numbers available in it before you commit.
How fast do messages arrive?
Typically within one to three seconds of being sent. Your inbox updates live without refreshing.
How do I cancel?
From Billing in your account. Cancelling during the free trial ends it immediately at no cost. Cancellation becomes available two hours after a number is activated, once it has finished registering with the carriers. After the 12-month term you can cancel at any time and the plan ends at the end of the billing period. Ending a plan before the term is over requires paying 75% of the remaining months.
What happens to my number when I cancel?
The number is released back to the carrier the moment your subscription ends and your messages are no longer accessible. Save anything you need first.
Is my data private?
Messages are stored encrypted at rest on Google Cloud in the United States and are only visible to your signed-in account. We never sell data and we never use your number for anything else.
Do I need to install an app?
